The Threads

Threads can be complex, and are
not always of the materials expected.

I'm trying to put together the Patreon project. I have a reprieve on survival mode - I lost my roommate and gained a freelance assignment that will net me what my roommate would have paid for August and September.

So before the end of September, I need the video Patreon wants for my project page, the website with the detail of what I propose to do with support from Patreon, and the tracking of the subscribers to share progress and finished products through this thread. Threads.

There is the Recovery thread. This will involve video production with print backup for specific issues that rise up when people try to stop using drugs and/or alcohol. These include PTSD, Adult Child of alcohol and other dysfunctional families, Sexual Abuse, Abandonment, personality development, communication, emotional sobriety - all covered with thirty presentations of the Haunted Recovery curriculum taught at the Healing Place (now Healing-Transitions). And the third edition of Recovery Reader.

There is the fiction and RPG thread, with novels and at least two settings for the ORFA system (Pulp, hard Sci-Fi, and maybe a third superhero from the old Taint setting). RPG is in a downswing from its high point at the turn of the. century. But I think people in the coming generation will wonder about the references to sources their parents have forgotten - or never known. The rebellion will be studying because they want to learn - not the truth of the world, but the fact the truths are fluid and subject to change by point of view. Imagination has been repressed, but if history is any indicator, the subversive will become mainstream, but the transition is a bitch.

Defining the threads will help me focus, and will help those who would like to support the goals of one of the threads.

At the end of the threads will be the videos, ebook, and printed artifacts. The sponsorship is for the process of getting to those artifacts.

And I have to define those threads so they can be read, and that is a project of its own.

Threads: the lines of transport between stars, opened in several
phases. Through the threads, a human empire develops and
provides the setting for some localized, but possibly star-
spanning, adventures in a live RPG - pencils paper & dice.

As with most things, "thread" has more than one meaning to me. In the science-fiction RPG setting it involves an alien "highway" between the Sol and the 20 closest stars, including a couple of brown bodies currently off such mappings.

And the threads are in the map of threads for this phase of the Patreon development to develop the rest of the weave.
